Academy Sports + Outdoors Expands at Fort Worth’s Cityview Centre location(November, 2008) Sporting goods giant, Academy Sports + Outdoors, one of the anchor stores at Fort Worth’s Cityview Centre retail complex, completes a multi-million dollar renovation to the store under the supervision of Trey Hodge, Vice President of Acquisitions and Construction. By adding approximately 34,000 square feet to the building, Academy is now geared to better serve its clients in Southwest Fort Worth. Orthosynetics now exclusively represented by Retail Plazas(October, 2008) Through his relationship with the Director of Real Estate for Orthosynetics, Cory McCord, Director of Leasing for Retail Plazas, has become their exclusive tenant representative. OrthoSynetics is an orthodontic and dental practice services firm that provides practices with non-clinical business and administrative assistance, including marketing, billing and collections, purchasing/procurement, patient financial and insurance services, human resources, financial reporting, and information technology. The company, which is based in Metairie, LA, plans to open three new practices in 2008 in the Dallas/ Fort Worth market with an additional five to eight in 2009. Retail Plazas, Inc. completes renovation at Parker Towne Centre in Plano, TX(October, 2008) Retail Plaza completes a facelift for Plano’s Parker Towne Centre retail shopping complex. Parker Towne Centre, home to a newly renovated Minyard’s Food Store, now has a new look which features updated fascia, improved lighting, and enhanced signage to better serve and reflect the growing Hispanic demographic in that section of Plano. El Rancho Supermercado acquires Arlington Sack N Save location(October, 2008) Minyard’s Food Stores, parent company of Sack N Save, completes a multi-store transaction with El Rancho Supermercado whereby the Hispanic grocer will convert the stores into its prototype Supermercado concept. Included in this acquisition is the store located in Retail Plaza’s New York Plaza Shopping Center.
